GRAND GARDENERS

GRAND GARDENERS is a club membership status established for those clubs whose
members are no longer able to perform demanding tasks but still have an
interest in environmental issues, design techniques, and gardening; enjoy the
fellowship of meetings; and wish to participate in State Garden Club activities
when possible.

GUIDELINES: This membership carries the same privileges and benefits of a
regular membership except eligibilty for state, regional and national awards. A
Grand Gardeners Club is
not required to
:

Hold monthly meetings, but would meet as dictated by the ability of the
members;

Have elected officers, but would designate a Group Leader to serve as a contact
person with the State Chairman (A Secretary/Treasurer may be appointed to
collect dues and handle the funds of the group and any records deemed
necessary);

File an annual President's Garden Club Activity Report, but would keep in touch
with the State Chairman;

Participate in organized projects, but would be encouraged to attend state,
regional or national functions.

CURRENT CLUB MEMBERS: To apply for Grand Gardeners status, a club may submit a
written request to the State Chairman including: club name, number of members,
reason for seeking Grand Gardener membership status, name of Group Leader with
telephone number and address, and number of years club has held membership in
GCG.
Benefits and dues remain the same as previous club status.

NEW GRAND GARDENERS CLUB: A group wishing to form a new Grand Gardeners Club
should send a written requrest to the State Chairman and include the
information listed under
Current Club Members
. New clubs are required to have a minimum of ten members, pay dues of $7.00
per new member, promote the objectives of GCG, and appoint a Group Leader.
